Dana won the spelling bee!! Yeah Dana! It was such an exciting event. It was held at her school between 3 of the 5 tracks in 5th grade. I'm not sure who was more nervous her mom or her. But when she spelled "delighted" correctly that was it. She had won.
She finished her year up with a bang and the trophy was just one of the many for the end of the school year. She also received third place for a Science fair project. She earned an award for memorizing the 50 States and their Capitals in alphabetical order along with the Presidents, the Preamble, the Star Spangle Banner, the Gettysburg Address, and writing the Pledge of Allegiance without missing any words or punctuation. It was a lot of work but she did great. And to finish it up she earned straight A's the entire year. First time for that. She did Awesome!!
